The solution was to utilize space under a covered rear deck that was a previous addition. A new eat-in kitchen pushed out back giving the formal rooms more space. This reconnected the house to the generous back yard. Space for a downstairs bath was carved out of an existing storage shed below the rear deck.
The result blended the incompatible style of the original house and existing rear deck structure to create a thoroughly modern house with mid-century style.Back to Single-Family
