Designed to offer over 150,000 s.f. of “Class A” office and lab space, adjacent to the Fred Hutchinson cancer research campus in Seattle, this prominent building is located near I-5.
The extremely challenging triangular site is on a very narrow, long and steep slope. The solution orients itself towards Lake Union and includes a fifth-floor deck with unobstructed views. The design places a sweeping curtain wall that dynamically responds to the bend in the road on top of a stately masonry base. Metal details highlight the design.
