G2

Design inspired by two separate architecture firms, to be joined in partnership, is a tall order and a unique task.

This tenant improvement for the rapidly expanding MulvannyG2 Group, covered 6,000 s.f. on two floors in an old warehouse located on the south shore of Lake Union in Seattle, WA. The program was to create a bold entrance and add approximately 3,000 s.f. of office space on a separate floor. A custom wood display wall greets visitors and highlights the firm’s work.

The industrial nature of the building is highlighted throughout. Custom cold rolled steel doors and floors, corrugated galvanized wall panels and custom birch plywood cabinetry round out the eclectic space. Heating and cooling was accomplished with the use of flexible clear plastic ducts so natural light from adjacent windows could pass through, allowing abundant light throughout. The overall effect is a creative and vibrant loft space, enticing to employees and clients alike.
