Designed to transform an “off the street” jewelers’ workshop into a retail outlet, this project helped define Sholdt Jewelers as a designer; as well as a craftsman of fine jewelry.

The plan segregated three distinct functions: sales, workshop and office. A curving “storefront” complete with custom-lit display windows for prized pieces divides the office from the sales room. The workshop is across the hall from the office and both are accessed via custom anodized aluminium restaurant double swing doors.

Special care was used to select fine materials and details for all surfaces and to properly light them to highlight their intrinsic beauty. Several retail display pieces were also designed to go on the road to trade shows.
